This is your basic chocolate cookie from scratch recipe that allows you to make 101 variations to delight the palette and loved ones. It is so simple and quick that your children and/or grandchildren can help and enjoy the whole process together without damaging anything. My 3 year old son and my two granddaughters 2 and 4 helped out last night making two different batches of chocolate cookies. We made this basic recipe below adding chopped walnuts and my favorite: Mexican Cow Patties.
